Gilb and Sons has complete many custom trim jobs across Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati.

One thing I have noticed is that many people have trouble visualizing how the trim will look or what design they actually want. Here are four resources to help you before starting your next interior trim project.

  1. Houzz - This website is an exceptional resource for seeing the finished product and getting a good understanding of your particular taste.
  2. This Old House - "All About Crown" This article written is a must see for anyone considering crown moulding.  It talk's about Crown's lineage reaching back to the ancient Greeks, who created the profiles and the rules of proportion that we still use some 2,500 years later.
  3. LJ Smith Stair parts - Selecting a new stair system should be easy, not hard. This is what LJ Smith has done with their website. Pick out your parts and pieces and let us put them together for you.
  4. Pinterest - This up and coming sharing site has thousands of ideas to chose from. Show us a picture and we can build it.

I hope these 4 resources can get you on your way to creating the style you want. If you need any help, we're always here.
